• It looks like the drawn out saga with our Garage Door is coming to an end.

Last Thursday the Strata Committee met with Civium to discuss progress, etc of many tasks we have “on the go” (around 40).  After a protracted time we have been advised that only two (2) local suppliers are able to do the necessary repairs.  Capital Doorworks who have serviced the door for many years have failed to respond to requests for quotes and the other two potential candidates have declined to quote.  Accordingly, the Strata Committee immediately asked Civium to issue a work order to ACT Doorland for repairs to the garage door.  In doing so we will also transfer maintenance to ACT Doorland.

It is important to note that ACT Doorland will be effecting repairs – not a replacement.  This will involve removal of the door from the tracks and a range of other repairs.

The repair work will impact traffic flow in and out of the garage as the disassembly and re-assembly work for the heavy door will be slow.  We will endeavour to advise Residents of when this activity is occurring.  To the extent that Residents do not want to be caught out on the wrong side of the door, parking in the upper level carpark will be permitted on the days when this work is occurring; however, not at other times.
