KERBSIDE Waste Collection : 10 March 2022

Owners and Residents are advised that the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) will be undertaking a KERBSIDE bulky/hard waste collection on Thursday, 10 March 2022.

Key points to note are:

• Items must be placed on the kerbside no more than one day before the collection (and certainly not after the collection);
• Loose items should be neatly boxed, bagged or bundled in containers no more than 1.5m long;
• Fridge doors must be removed or placed door down ( to prevent children from accessing the inside).

Items excluded are:

• TVs
• Computers,
• car parts, including tyres, batteries
• builder’s rubble;
• asbestos,
• fibreglass;
• gas bottles;
• chemicals;
• paints;
• oils; and
• large glass items.

There are specific disposal facilities that will take many of these items – the closest is 5 Lorn Road, QUEANBEYAN.

This is a chance to get rid of many large bulky items that you are unable to remove to the local waste dump and will keep the Sunrise Apartments complex cleaner and tidier.
