• Discussions have been held with Civium over the last few days to resolve the Lift Security System roll-out issues.  The discussions were reasonably productive and it now remains for Civium to properly follow through.  This post is not the forum to dissect all issues; however, key points are covered.

    The following information primarily affects Owners / Residents of Blocks A and D (which have lift access to their floors).

    “Go Live” is now set for Monday, 13 December 2021.  During the day CXI, Schindler and at least once Strata Committee member will be on-site to switch over the system.  There may be some disruption to lift services on and off during the day.  The roll-out remains subject to any COVID19 restrictions that may occur prior to and on that date – given the latest OMicron variant being detected in NSW.

    Civium will be writing to all Owners and Residents regarding the roll-out.  Expect a letter this week – when a copy is received it will also be uploaded to this site.

    Civium is contacting all Owners who specified “mail delivery” for their lift fobs to confirm that they have been received and probably the Fob ID.  This is to ensure specifically that we do not have active fobs “in the wild” and that Owners have received them.  Should an Owner indicate they have not received the fobs they will be deactivated prior to the system going live and we will seek compensation from Australia Post.  Civium is also checking the Australia Post delivery records.  Civium will promptly mail-out replacement fobs at no cost to the Owner, unless the Owner indicates pick-up is preferred.

    Owners that elected (or failed to elect) a Civium pickup will also receive a letter to say they are available for pickup.  Naturally, if you have your fobs then pickup is unnecessary.  Pickup may be done by the Owner (showing Proper ID) OR a person carrying an authority signed by the Owner (they will need to show proper ID).  Fobs will need to be signed for.

    All affected Owners should ensure they have their fobs prior to 13 November so that  their use of the lifts is not impeded.

    When the new system goes live the old Schindler Lift Swipes may be destroyed.

    Please not the new system is designed to prevent unauthorised access to lift cabins – once inside a lift a person can travel to any floor (as they could via the stairwell using their key).
